Pastor Erick Schuringa has been at Immanuel since 2002. He arrived shortly before Immanuel’s old building on Church Street burned down. Hmmmm. Erick loves his work because he gets to be with people in many meaningful and significant occasions, and because he gets to lead a community into all the wonderful things God has in store for them. He is married to Ruth Ann who is also on staff at Immanuel and they have three above average children, Charlotte, Kara and Ben who are all in their 20s.

Nicole Vroom became the Communications and Administrative Assistant for Immanuel in January 2015. When Nicole and her family moved to this area eight years ago, she began volunteering within her new community almost immediately. She stayed busy in this capacity for many years but recently felt the Lord leading her in a different direction. Nicole is delighted to be serving Immanuel CRC in this role and welcomes the opportunity to work for its members.
Klaas Westerhof was entrusted with the job of overseeing the maintenance of Immanuel’s building and property in 2013. He and his wife Linda also became part of the Immanuel community at that time. Klaas also plays bass guitar on the Worship Team and constantly amazes the other musicians by playing notes that are not found on the traditional scales
Pastor Derek Ellens is the newest staff member at Immanuel. He is serving part-time alongside the Lead Pastor, Erick. Derek’s gifts are preaching and building relationships, both of which he does regularly at Immanuel. Derek is married to the lovely Jillian Ellens who also serves the community of Brampton, but in a slightly different capacity as a Public Health Nurse. Derek has been serving in this role since February 1, 2019.
Pedro “Peter” Carrion was born in Ecuador, South America. Pastor Peter has proven to be a faithful, passionate server of God since he accepted Christ as his Savior in his early 20’s. Upon coming to Canada, Peter met Gabriela, they married and now have 3 girls, Victoria, Abigail and Belen who are 8, 4 and 1 years of age respectively. Peter has been leading the La Roca Spanish speaking church for 6 years. They joined Immanuel CRC 4 years ago as a partner church. Peter is leading and equipping the La Roca community to make a lasting impact in this generation following the motto: Healing, Growing, Serving.
Beth Chisholm is the Youth Coordinator for the Meeting House Brampton. She has been married to her best friend, Ted for 30 years. She has 2 great kids, Brittany and Sean who are young adults.
